What do I need? (To use an Inflatable)

All inflatable's need a clear level grass space. This space needs to be level and free from any sharp objects. The space needs to be the size of the castle plus an extra 2 foot all around to allow for staking down and clearance of the walls when children are bouncing and to allow for the fan at the back and children to enter and exit safely. This total space needs to be clear of any overhanging objects such as trees, plants, washing lines, etc.  At ground level the area needed to be flat and level need only be the same as the inflatables size.

We need an appropriate access point to the site the castle is going to be erected at. The bigger castles are large even when rolled up and will not go through small alleyways/gates, please advise of passageways narrower than a standard doorway (2’ 6” or 750mm).

Please make sure you have the space for the castle/inflatable you book. Safe dimensions are shown on the Product details pages (These are being adjusted at the moment to improve clarity, so please contact us to clarify if you are unsure).

What do I need? (To use a Marquee)

All Marquee's need a clear level space.  The space needs to be the size of the Marquee plus an extra 1 foot either side to allow for staking down. This total space needs to be clear of any overhanging objects such as trees, plants, washing lines, etc.

We also need an appropriate access point to the site the castle is going to be erected at.  These are far less stringent than for an inflatable.

Please make sure you have the space for the marquee you book. Safe dimensions are shown on the Product details pages.

You pay a set price for a unit for an agreed period of time. The unit will be delivered and collected by us, erected and dismantled by our own team of experts. Remember, if you select this option you will be responsible for the supervision of the unit when in use during the hire period and the arrangement of Public Liability Cover.

CUSTOMER SAFETY NOTICE:

Do not be fooled by cheap imported bouncy castles that are currently on the market. These are toys and not at all suitable for hiring or long term use. Before you hire (or purchase) any inflatable you must always ask if they carry a UK HSE (Health and Safety Executive) compliant Safety Certificate. You will find your insurance to be invalid if you try to use units not covered by the Health and Safety recommendations in this country.  Don’t be surprised if you are having to buy again after investing in these cheap toy inflatables, and discovering that they aren't of the robust commercial standard we provide.

All BounceUK inflatables are provided with a UK HSE (Health and Safety Executive) compliant Safety Certificate.

Inflatables Terms and Conditions of Hire

On delivery we require a signature for acceptance of the following terms.

Instructions for the Safe Use of a Bouncy Castle or Slide:

It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury or damage to the inflatable. Please ensure that the following safety instructions are followed:

  1. This unit has an age limit of __ years old; no one taller than the equipment’s walls is to use it. Please ensure no one over this age or height uses the equipment (where applicable).
  2. No food or drinks to be consumed on the inflatable. (To avoid choking & mess).
  3. All shoes, badges, jewellery, (i.e. large earrings, necklaces etc.) MUST be removed. It is recommended that spectacles be also removed (To avoid personal injury).
  4. No face-paints, party-poppers, coloured streamers or "silly string" must be used near or on the inflatable, as they can make a terrible mess and permanently stain the unit.
  5. No smoking near the inflatable.
  6. Climbing, hanging, or sitting on the walls is DANGEROUS and must not be allowed.
  7. A responsible adult must supervise the INFLATABLE at all times.
  8. Ensure that the inflatable is not overcrowded, and limit the numbers depending on age and size of children using it. If the children are colliding into each other then it is too crowded.
  9. Try to avoid large children and small children from using the inflatable at the same time. Some children require strict supervision.
  10. If the inflatable is not being used for any part of the day, please switch the blower off at the mains, this will reduce your electric bill!
  11. Do not allow anyone to bounce on the step/front apron. The step is there to help users get on and off.
  12. Ensure that no one with a history of back or neck problems are allowed on the inflatable.
  13. Do not allow users to be on the unit during inflation or deflation.
  14. In the event of heavy rain, it is strongly recommended that the inflatable be switched off. Any wetness, including bubbling can be dried with a towel. A small picnic table placed over the blower will help prevent rainwater being sucked into the blower, and then into the inflatable.
  15. The blower at the back has an internal automatic safety-reset button. In the event that it overheats, or loses power, switch the blower off at the mains, and then switch it back on again 1 or 2 minutes later, and it should restart. If it does not, or there is a power cut, inform us IMMEDIATELY.
  16. Ensure that the vent on the side of the blower is kept clear at all times.
  17. Do not bounce on top of slides.  Do not slide down head first.  Do not slide into people below.  No jumping from the top of the slide.
  18. If you are unsure about anything, please contact us 0800 4488240.
